+ Project Description: 

The project involves the construction of a new eco resort on a greenfield site in Yorkshire. The resort will consist of 48 eco lodges with a SIPs construction as well as new infrastructure, lakes, soft play areas and commercial buildings. Clarke & Watt Building Consultancy has been appointed as the project management company and contract administrator for the project.

+ Scope of Work:

• Discharge of 48 planning conditions prior to the major construction works commencing

• Design and construction of 48 eco lodges including the foundations and delivery 

• Construction of new infrastructure, including roads, utilities, and drainage systems

• Construction of commercial buildings, including a reception area, restaurant, and spa

+ Project Management & Contract Administration:

CWBC is responsible for managing the project on behalf of the client. This includes overseeing the design and construction process, coordinating with the contractors and suppliers, and ensuring that the project is completed on time and within budget.

CWBC is also responsible for acting as the contract administrator for the project. This includes managing the contract between the client and the main contractor, as well as ensuring that all contract requirements are met.

 

+ Key Challenges:

• Discharging the 48 planning conditions in a timely manner to allow the major construction works to commence

• Coordinating the design and construction process with multiple sub-contractors and suppliers

• Ensuring that the project is completed on time and within budget

• Ensuring that the project is finished to a high standard and quality
